Birgit Mennel is part of the European institute for progressive cultural policies project “The Politics of Heterolinguality: Europe as a Translational Space”. She also works as a – mostly unpaid – freelance translator of books that will probably never be published and is struggling to pave her way through the works and practice of Fernand Deligny about whom she would like to write her dissertation. When she is not sitting in front of her computer she takes part in the meetings of the Afrique-Europe-Interact network in Vienna.
